Stock filed a notice with the statee Labor Department onJune 16, the same day a U.S. Bankruptc Court for the District of Columbia approved Stock’s the Chapter 11 reorganization plan. According to court Stock will cut as manyas 2,20o0 jobs and cancel 210 lumberyards and showroom leasezs nationwide. Stock has eight storea in New York. The three storese that are closing arein Oneonta, Roxbury and Schenectady will remain open under new ownership in a deal to be announcerd in the coming weeks, the company official said. The futures of remaining four stores has notbeen determined, the compang official said. The Rotterdamj store is Stock’s only one in the Capitak Region.

According to the filing with the Stock will close its Duanesburgg Road planton Aug. 31, eliminatinyg all 156 jobs.
