Montevideo Howard Lake among wastewater projects getting stimulus funds - Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal:

The westernb Minnesota city plans to use the fund s to upgradeits wastewater-treatment plant, includinyg improving phosphorous standards.
The state recently tightenesd the standards for phosphorus levels at water plantd in the Minnesota River saidSteve Jones, Montevideo city manager. “It’sz very expensive to get that out of the Montevideo awarded a contractto Deerwood-based aftee the city received the stimulus funds. Jones estimates that the projecrt could create between 30 to 60 constructionm jobs this year and will take about 18 monthsxto complete.
The city of Howard Lake receivedthe second-largesg funding boost, getting $10 million to join its wastewater-treatment planft to the by almost 10 miles of Barry Glienke, a Howard Lake city said construction on the project bega in March, and the stimulus funds will see it throughu to completion.
